Day 1 – Barnstaple to St Ives

Places On The List So Far

The original plan was to travel along the English coast by some means of transport, at our leisure enjoying all the lovely views. With some thought, we’ve decided we’re going to hire a motor home, make a semi-solid plan of some places we’d like to go and use the B-roads around the coast as our main route between stops. We’re hoping this is going to take around 3 to 4 weeks… but we shall see after closer planning!

One for Kim!- The 2011 Winners of the Fish and Chip shop awards. Based in East Yorkshire somewhere.
Bath Spa
Loch ness- In search of a certain Nessy!
Lake district
The White Cliffs of Dover
Southend-on-sea – To see some family
London Town (lots to see!)
Tenby, South Wales
Edinburgh
Glasgow
One for Sam!- Balamory
Newcastle- To see some family

Welcome to RoadTrippin’.

This blog has been created for ourselves (Sam, Kim & Ellie), our family and our friends. We are planning to take a trip around the coast of the UK in 2012. The plan is to use this blog to plot our journey, keep everyone up to date when we’re on the road and to give ourselves something to look back on in years to come.

So far, we have established that it’s probably going to take a lot of money, a lot of planning and a lot of time to get us on the road; but we feel it’s worth it!
